1. What’s with
the name? Why is
this site called The
Andrew Beale Show?
Why not name a radio
show after yourself,
it is a way of
publicising my name,
and getting myself
out into the radio
industry. Andrew
Beale is not a stage
name, it is my real
name.
2. Is this a real
or are you making it
up? How can I
believe you are on
the air…
It's real alright -
you can tune in to
Sydney's Radio 2RDJ
every Sunday from
1pm to listen to me
on the airwaves. It
may not be
commercial radio,
but community radio
is still a big part
of the industry and
it's not just an
imaginary game.
3. Okay, but
what’s this site
about?
It’s about the show,
although most often
when asked I’ll say
it’s about ‘beans’.
Beans, in this
instance, in the
sense of ‘not really
that much, but
terribly filling all
the same’. It's a
way of showcasing
what I do other than
over the airwaves.
Sharing the content
of the show through
a different,
although somewhat
modern medium.
4. Why do you do
this, then? Why did
you start?
How did I start? I
originally completed
a weeks work
experience at
sport's station,
Radio 2KY, and then
turned up to the
local community
radio station and
tried it. The more I
loved it - and the
more impossible the
idea of stopping
became. It’s still
an addiction, I
still love it, so I
still do it.
5. Are you a
professional
broadcaster?
Well, I suppose it
depends what you
call professional.
Being a radio
broadcaster is not
yet my full-time
job, although I do
get paid to talk.

6. Do you get paid
to do this or to do
your radio show?
Nope.
7. Why not?
It's experience.
Doing something I
love that will
hopefully one day
gain me a full time
job in the industry.
8. How long have you
been doing this?
Why?
I’ve been doing this
since 2003. While
it’s still something
I enjoy and other
people enjoy, I will
carry on doing it.

Yes, send me a URL,
and if I feel that
it relates in some
shape or form, then
I'm sure we can fit
you somewhere on the
site.
10. Can you give me

statistics about
this site?
I'm number one on
Google, but sadly
not Yahoo. If you
want to know
anything more

11. How many
listeners do you
have?
More than some -
many, many less than
others. It changes.
12. Is everything on
this site real? I
mean, did it all
really happen?
Yes. Or mainly. If
it didn’t, I’ll say
it didn’t, you’d
know if I was lying
anyway. Seriously,
for me, it has to be
all true, or all
fiction. I don’t see
the point of mixing
the two here. If
people thought that
some things might be
fictional, they’d
never trust a word I
said the rest of the
time, just in case.
Trust is important.
